Wow, that worked well. Now you need to get a neutral density filter and take a, say, 3 hour exposure and see the stars moving... I want to do that... I am always amazed to see the colors that are actually present in the dark. Neat.
I'd also need the remote control or something since the d40 will only take up to 30 seconds of auto timed exposure. Anything longer I think you need to hold the button. Am I wrong? I'd like to be wrong...
Also - I think I over did the noise reduction a little... I might upload a different version.
